Around the World
Ok, I think it's good now. What you all think?
I'm verry happy with the detail I put into it. Some may be missing, but I guess I didn't want to over do it.
Dunno why I didn't go with the sandy brown color(whatever it's called) before. Works well, it goes good with brown, and I like the color.
When I did the background, I wanted something simple and make the colors look faded.
I had trouble choosing the name. Didn't want anything that was the same or similar to any real vehicles. I was originaly gona go with "Nomad Machine", but there's already a vehicle by the name "Nomad".
The name is probably why I went with the anthro form of my one character. I had trouble with him, but I think he's good enough now. Still not too sure, though.
I was originaly thinking of adding a snorkel, but it just didn't work out. Didn't look all that good and just don't think it would be wise to be forging that much water with those supplies.
It's acually got the original flathead 2.2 straight 4. Why!? Two things. Fuel efficiency for one. You don't have gas stations everywere. It also means stopping less. Simplicity for two. Their supposidly very simple for an engine. If I'm correct, this increases reliabilty and makes repairs easier.

Re: Around the World
Yeh, the effects. I wanted to, but I wasn't sure how and where, due to the angle, the placement I wanted to put the light source, and the vehicle has a lot of flat surfaces. We'll see what I do.
The flag is meant to be like that. I wanted it to be faded and worn, nothing perfect.
The scene is how I invisioned it, but you are right, it is too empty. Are the faded colors in the scene good?

Re: Around the World
What do you draw that in? It kinda looks too well drawn to be MS Paint...
My next guess is Flash, but that seems like it'd be too difficult for there to not be an easier way.

Nice picture. I tried drawing a picture with vectors in PSP8, but I gave up when it came to the wheels.

Re: Around the World
I did some changes and it's a helva lot better.
The original background didn't work well, added some dust, and a few other things.
Any better?
Oh, and what's this talk about drawings? I want to see more!

Re: Around the World
That looks way better now! Just a bit weird to have so much dust on an asphalt road.

Blacksunshine: It is a nomad. Not confined to one place.
Qwerty: I was worried about that. Been planning to dust things up.

Re: Around the World
Made some changes.
Dusted things up a bit, made the background more prairie like again, and changed some text to yellow.
How is it?

Re: Around the World
pretty nice but the yellow text screams too much imo - too bright and detracts from the picture itself.

Re: Around the World
Hmmm...yeh. Wanted something that looked good. The green didn't seem right.
Any suggestions on what color?
Any suggestions on what color?
Re: Around the World
not sure, the original green was fine - matches the green background of the area and is visible well. it's up to you to decide.
