Hey guys  Sounds like a cool competition and if we have til the end of may then I can probably throw something together. Will also be challege for me to get the file size down  The reason most of my movies are like 60MB is because I prefer to keep loads of quality and detail in so that I can watch them full screen as and feel like its in the game. I will have to comprmise for this thou

I'll start compiling some stunts and think of a cool song to use when I have some time.

I'm very gladly surprised that people keep entering this contest, one day we'll rule hollywood!

Anywayz, i'm posting cuz of a problem this time: I try try try but can't get Powdered Toast's movie on my server. I got no idea why that, maybe that crappy frontpage server is just overwhelmed by the seize (13mb).

So at this point i want to ask if there's anyone volunteering to host that movie... it will only have to be as long as the contest is running, and both Powdered Toast and me would be very thankful!

PS. to huFFamOOse: If you use the Bloodhound Gang as soundtrack in your contest entry aswell, please don't choose "the bad touch"! I'm so sick of that song  ... everything else would be ok

yea, i sorta got a problem too. i did a small preview of my movie, and it turns out that the smallest i can get it at a good quality and a length of 4:01 was 15-20mb.

btw, MCF, do you have any kind of messengers? if so, i could send you the movie, and not try to hassle with emailing it to you.

also, does anybody know of any patches for Windows Movie Maker 2? the damn thing crashes with me too much. real buggy...

you can send it to me with MSN messenger, i got basically every messenger, but file transfers worked best with that one so far. [url=mailto:musclecarfreak@web.de">musclecarfreak@web.de[/url] is my addi.

Tho i strongly doubt that it'll work with uploading if it hasn't even worked like i wrote in the post above. But sending it to me is no problem, i'd love to see it and at least give it a try to get it on my server.

Yes... I agree with MCF. Anyone who could host the movie for us for the duration of the contest would make us all very happy bunnies indeed! Props if anyone can/will...

ive been spending some hours on internet finding a FREE web host that offers 50+ MB and NO file restrictions (such as size limit and file type)

no luck so far, but i will find one, and if i do, i plan to make a monthly/weekly contest out of this.

like every month every entry has to be about one subject (like legal/illegal street racing)

anyone want to help find one?

My goddam server refuses to take more than 3 mb at once, so i had to split my movie and now i finally got it uploaded.

Go to the downloads>movies section on Musclecarisma , follow the instructions and enjoy!

10 days left guys, we're counting backwards to zero! I hope you get all ur entries ready in time, i'll soon create that page with all the links to them.

To Qwerty: Seems like we haven't found a time we're both on yet, any ideas how to manage that?

I now have my movie split into 5 sections of RAR. 4 at 3mb, 1 at 637kb. Be easier to host? But you gotta have winrar to extract and view.

My time is one hour later than GMT (if it's 10 there it's 11 here).

I'm usually on somewhere between 10am to 10pm, not all the time of course, but you should try out a time in that range, preferably in the evening/night.

To Powdered Toast: You can select "self extracting archive" before creating the archive and it won't be necessary to have winrar installed if you do so.

Plus, i'd suggest you to make 4 parts except of leaving one with 600kb. You have to enter 3550000 byte for that (i calculated it lol).

FB: Hehe, you downloaded both with your 56k? You gotta be a very patient person, you got my respect for sure  .

By the way, thanks to Qwerty, he uploaded my movie in one piece, so for now it's much more easy to download and watch it. For all those who haven't done that yet here's the link:

MCFs Movie

I'm now going to create a site with all the links on it, hold on, I'll post the link here as soon as i'm finished.

MCF's - I approve. Soundgarden, if I heard correctly. Great vid, good and proper ending too.

Toasty's - Nice use of music. Riding on the rhthyms, I like that.

Soundgarden, if I heard correctly.

lol, heh, like with my last movie, you're close but not totally right

It's Chris Cornell, yeah, but he now sings for the former members of my favorite band Rage Against the Machine, the whole combo is now known as "Audioslave". I like Soundgarden too, but i strongly doubt that their guitar players could manage to play riffs like good ole Tom Morello

Note: A short look into the readme file would have been enough

Right, mine is done too

Happy downloading

Carmageddon-TooYoung(KillsnCrashes).zip

It looked better compressed with XviD but I figured more people would have DivX. 3min 16sec and 13.3MB.

Loved all other peeps movies too.

p.s. Since my last movie was like 60mb i've also compressed that to a more reasonable size. Full ver is on fileplanet , small ver is here at 15MB - Carmageddon2-GreatWhiteDope320x240.zip

Sweet mother of G-sus, all these videos R.O.C.K.! As a matter of fact, some of them rock so hard it makes me doubt whether I should still finish mine, or save my face and withdraw from this whole thing!

Anyhow, I'm still collecting clips for my vid, haven't started sequencing anything yet, hell I don't even know what song I'm gonna be using for the soundtrack yet! I am well aware that this contest ends on May 31, but hey, nothing like a good deadline for a bit of motivation, right?
