Decide its fate.

How would you like to see this lovely 14" computer monitor destroyed?

If you've got a good suggestion just request it, and it just might be done with a video to watch of the event. Keep it feasible.. as much as I'd like to throw it off a building.. it would be kinda hard to video record, plus I want to kill the monitor - not an old granny getting her sunday morning paper.

Posability 1: Get a big hammer and smash it!

2: Get a brick and throw it at!

3: Get a baseball bat and smash it!

4: Get a couch, put one side up, get the monitor under it and smash the couch down onto it!

Oh, i love the thing on it "hurt" hehe

Take it to the range and shoot the hell out of it. Post pics.

(30-06 would be quite an entertaining demise for that thing!)

(If your local range doesn't allow this, find an empty space in the middle of nowhere, of course)

shove it in your oven, turn it on full, watch the plastic melt for 10mins, then remove the monitor (carefully, it will be hot use a over-glove ) then smash the hell outta the screen with the biggest hammer you can get your hands on, then where the remains (if any) throw them on your drive way and get in your car, and then drive over them 3/4 times ( be sure to have a spare tyre incase you wreck any) jobs a good one!

Anything with a big sledge hammer is do-able... fire can be done (im going outdoors though.. last thing I want to do is live with melted plastic stench). I think I'll skip using an automobile for its demise, seeing I dont have my own car.. last time I used a car (mums) for something like that it ended up with a busted headlight

SmallBlock: haha, we dont have shooting ranges.. I think, were not that advanced, or american!

No ranges?? Damn, that sucks....well, maybe some homemade explosives would work, then!

Just be VERY careful when playing w/ this stuff!

Giving it a good once-over with a sledgehammer would be a lot of fun - but be careful. Sometimes screens actualy explode if you hit it directly in the center of the thing (where it's actualy the most fun). I've smashed a pc monitor once with a nice hammer and I smashed a regular TV screen with a big rock.

If you're up for some proper fun, tie it to a car and drag it around a bit while trying to pull off a 'mutant tail thing' effect.

Or find a safe high place and chuck it out a window. No bigger fun.

Hehe, that would be kinda fun.. make a turn so it slides into a cement wall? Too bad I cut the cord off, it would be kinda hard to tie up.

You want to watch a video of him taking a shit on the monitor?? Right... you stay away from me!

Get yourself one of these http://www.pellpax.co.uk/acatalog/Pistol_Crossbows.html , go outside, draw little circles on the monitor and then use it as target practice

We used to find monitors/televisions when we had the MPV, do around 80-100kph and hurl it at a hydro pole.

Another fun thing to do is, hold a shopping cart next to the car/van/truck, get speed, let go, and slow down, let it hurl into whatever you were aiming at, ie: bus shelter?

Take a shit on it.

An expansion upon that idea.

Smash the glass or something, and then take a shit inside it, light it on fire, and leave it on someone's porch after you ring the doorbell and run away.

Hmm...train....although derailment is an issue here...The explosives idea sounds cool but at minimum safe distance ya might not get it on video too good.

The hurl it at a pole idea is cool but then ya gotta watch out for the collateral damage...for every action, there is an equal and opposit reaction.

Jab-we used to grab shopping carts like that in a wide open parking lot-me in my van and ma buddy in his and we'd head toward each other at a high rate of speed and at the last second we'd veer away in opposite directions and aim the carts at each other.

Two carts hitting head-on at 50-60 MPH is a pretty spectacular sight...

They both jump straight up in the air as the energy is dissipated upwards and cartwheel in opposite directions a few dozen times and are hardly regognizeable lumps of twisted metal by the time they land.

At night ya can even see the sparks from the impact.

Pretty frackin' cool.

High velocity impact would get my vote.

find a old car thats been parked for a while. get one of you friends to film it, then get on top of a biulding, and drop the monitor on the car. i reccomend dropping it on the roof.

1. Fill some small metal container's with petrol/gasoline and seal them (and put in a fuse to light it).

2. Open up your moniter, place the petrol container's inside, put moniter back together again (some components inside the screen may need to be removed to make room.)

3. Light the fuse, stay WELL back.

4. Observe the destruction.

Will it explode or something? I think the metal gas container would just burn.. and eventually spread fire to the inside of the monitor which is rather boring. and how do I light the fuse when i put it in the monitor and put it back together again?

If the container is sealed, them the expansion of gases when the fuel ignites with cause the contaier to explode, in-turn causing shrapnel to go every where. If you hae a small hole big enough for a string to go through it, then the string could come out of the container, and out through the air holes on the back of the screen.

Or, get a shotgun, and blow the shite out of it. Or whatever you think yourself.

A regular DIY hammer or maybe a sledgehammer (could be overkill, maybe just the 1st shot) and some good ol' elbowgrease. Nothing is more satisfying than relishing in destruction you are causing yourself.

Don't forget some protective eye goggles and maybe some leather gardeners gloves, shards of glass hurt your eyes and fingers - lemme tell ya!

There are no gasses inside a vacuum tubewich could expand. That's why it's imploding when you hit the glass.

Yayus. Vacuum tube. Take Bollocks' idea a step further and get ya a can of smokeless gunpowder (the type used for reloading bullets) and open the top and hollow out a bit of the powder and put ya a firecracker in there with a longer fuse and punch a hole in the cap and screw it back on with some epoxy on the threads and put that inside the monitor.

Run the longer fuse out the vents in the back of the monitor and when the time comes to fire 'er up-have somebody who smokes bust the filter off a lit cigarette and work the unlit end of it over the fuse.

This gives ya quite some time to get the hell away across the presumably wide-open area that you've placed the monitor in-hell, ya'd even have time to set up your video cam.

When it goes, it oughtta be spectacular.

(I get rid of all kindsa stuff I don't want anymore this way-saves dump fees.)

Ive smashed tons of monitors and tv sets before with axes and such and never really dealt with any unexpected results. Guess I can consider that a good thing.

I wouldnt mind sitting it on top of a shopping cart.. you know that lil spot at the top people usually put their bread and stuff that could get squished.. drive in a car at a good 50mph holding onto the cart from the window and letting it go towards a brick wall. Just kinda hard to get away with doing that sorta stuff around here without pissing someone else off

Well, lighting em on fire, or tossing em into a bonfire with hopes of an explosion seems novel, it just aint gonna happen.

All we got out of that was a light airy "phup" and a little puff of green flame out the back of the pic tube.

And placing small explosives inside, like an aerosol can doesnt help much either, just a fireball, and the monitor charred, melted, but still pretty much intact. You'd have more fun with a few bags of dollar-store air freshener and a bonfire.
