Triumph!

Post by random_monkey »

Check that shit:

[img]http://i11.ebayimg.com/02/i/01/43/e9/23_1_s.JPG">

I totally saw a triumph this morning, but can't remember what model it was. Anyway, it was /reaaaaally/ cool, and rusty.

It was coloured in 'yellow puke', with a brown front left fender, and the exhaust was hanging from the back by a pair of tights!

I laughed, and commented how it would fit perfectly into carmageddon, to my mother. Who made some comment like "The game?", or something equally hilarious.

Fun

Here's another sexy item!

Is that second car a jaguar of some sorts? looks like it from the wheels, thats a neato looking pile of crap. I Like the front end cause it looks like it has a mouth. Id put sandwhiches and stuff in it everyday.. just because.

This is something neat also, if I had my own car Id totally write on it, and wreck it a lot, like so:

Heh, that's pretty funky

"You can't kill me" would probably have the same effect as a target..

And no, they're both triumphs

the dad of a friend of mine has one of those things.. a '74 spitfire, very nimble and handles well but is pretty slow and likes to overheat.. I'm no expert on those things but the first one seems to be about a '73-'75 spitfire i guesses

Man, I tell ya whut. Them ol' British cars shore was purty.

Izzat first one an ol' TR6?

Second one is too old even fer me to remember.

C2s:

A Hush Puppy is a chunka cornbread deep-fried in batter-at least that's whut they called 'em whar I lived.

The long, drawn out version is a polite expression used in place of "Holy Shit" or "Well, I'll Be" or "Well, Sonova Bitch". (Yes it was mentioned a lot in "Redneck Rampage", One o' ma favorite shoot-em-ups. T'hell with DOOM-Hickston's whar it's at

Is that special in the States? A Triumph?

TTR can correct me if I'm wrong, but they're not very uncommon in Holland - ofcourse the distance to cross is a lot shorter too.

Hell, a friend of my uncle's collects them.

Hello! I plan on getting one of these cars this summer! The first car you show is an early 70's TR6, the second is a late 50's to possibly a 61, I think, TR3. They're great little sports cars. One thing Triumphs can do, is rust!

As random said, those are both Triumphs... I saw that second model on Fifth Gear (or Top Gear or something) a while ago, cept it was looking proper style (as in, immaculate). My old primary school teacher had a Triumph, it was a newer model than those ones.. at a guess I'd say TR7, following the trend. Was pretty nice... that was also yellow, perhaps it was a common colour.

Incidentally, you know the AC Cobra? Gorgeous cars... well anyway it seems Ford have decided to make a new one... and it looks shockingly bad, no sexy curves and stuff. Oh you can tell its a Cobra, but its just not the same Image.
