Re: Reeeee!
Let me clear this up
The Death Race 2000 = Movie + inspiration for Carmageddon
Carmageddon 2 = Carmageddon revamped
Carmageddon (3) TDR 2000 = Badly revamped C2 with stolen name from a movie
fini!

Be quiet!
Re: Reeeee!
ive never saw the death race movie (yet) as its quite obscure, at least for me anyways. but ive read most of the cars are modified kit cars. there are some mantas, some vw kits, there is also a kharman gia.

Re: Reeeee!
I've seen the movie a grand total of....twice times!
that car is known as 'frankenstein'...well that's the driver (david carridene!)'s name. i think the car's just called frankenstein too. and the nazi ghia (or buzzbomb) is def!
The best part is that ALL the cars in the movie are at least built on VW chasis'!!?!
also, there's no 'the' in the title either.

Re: Reeeee!
Hello! Pilot! Your PM's are off! Whats up 'wit dat' ?? The cars in the movie are in some cases parts of kit cars/dune buggies, which is cool! The Frankenstein one looks like a Bradley GT cut up!
Re: Reeeee!
alan: you can say "checking whos online!" here instead?!
We must have cars like this in carmageddon 2 again. I want to put together a car like that in real life and just go... and do it. theres something for police videos. im just waiting for that momment where the world finally pushes me too far.
Come on econobrick, lets make a whole slew of them.

Re: Reeeee!

"One chicken in a thousand is hatched near a road. One in every ten thousand of those ever tries to cross it. Half of them are run over by cars."
Re: Reeeee!
Yeah, IIR Chevelle made them and coffeecup posted them on mac carpocalypse, extremely good the were too, I'm sure someone other than me still has them around, failing that I could prolly dig 'em out.
and yeah, ya monkey, like rm said TDR2000 was the movie it was from, not the game. SCi ballsed up the license for TDR the game and so had to change the meaning to 'total destruction racing' or something was the official meaning i think, instead of 'the death race'.

Re: Reeeee!
The C2-version of the car looks totally juicy!
Glory of the days past, and currently it looks like to be the "common everyday cars era" for C2?
Any kind of car is good for me, though. :/

Hello! The back is just flat blue with 4 round red taillights, kinda like a corvette. But it's very plain.
