I kinda wish there was a 3SM to TDR tut, I can render the cars great now its just the conversion I am lacking. Also setting the model up for TDR and the files needed to use.

free... cared... its the way easiest modeling prog that exists... and its free... but it also lack some good things... but whit some training you can make nice work whit the prog... download at... umm... guys... Where?

umm, if you go to www.discreet.com and into the prducts area, go to 3d max and you can order a free demo

or you could download Gmax, which is not as good as 3d max but basically saves you about $3000

Gmax keeps crashing when i install it it says i have to register and get a code so i got the code,copyed and pasted it into where your suppose to put it then i cliked continue and it crashed it came up with a error message saying: interactive 3D rendering intailzation failed. please check your device settings by using the -h command line option please help, cheers

Had a little problem myself like that one, on another computer. That time it got solved when I just changed "driver setup" later with that -h command.

Wanted just to test Gmax, now I got stuck in it! Haha, make almost everything in it now. Gets exciting when I need to move stuff from Gmax to another program.. Aarrgh! But it's posseble..

I cant let the SDK plugin for TDR 2000 work in either 3D Max 4 or 5.

So is this necesarry? or can i just make cars in 3D Max without the plugin??

The SDK only works with max 3.1, whish it says in the readme. You can make cars or anything in max without the plugin, but you can't do anything with them for carmageddon tdr unless you have 3.1 and the SDK.

You could also use zmodeler. In combination with Bemax you can use it for C2, too.
