Worlds worst cars

Post by The_Bollocks »

The worst car ever would have to have been the 1983 Fiat Ritmo. For parents owned one for a short period of time. For those people who don't know of the car, it was a shitty rust bucket, eventually there was a hole in the floor and in the door due to the rust. The paint work was crap, and the colour was a dark orange. Don't ever expect the car to start in cold weather. The car was terrible.

Other shit heaps that I had was a 1986 Toyota Starlet. Rust wasn't a problem, but for a car with a 1 litre engine, you would get something like 25mpg on it for some strange reason, and to it leaked oil. The horn didn't work, the radio was crap, and the exaust pipe would have to be replaced every 3000-4000 miles. In the end, the car was stolen. Thank God.

Any of you's have storys of crap cars?

AMC Eagle (weapon of mass disintegration)

Dodge Caravan/Voyager (the van version of the one below, same statistics)

Dodge Aries K/Plymouth Reliant (this thing must have been produced in shit condition, I've never seen one in good shape, other then in old national geographics...and sounds like dieing ass)

Ford Fiesta (lol one at the a drive through, white rusted with yellow skirts, and "fear this")

Pontiac Firefly (3 cylinders, I mean cmon... saw one burning on the freeway, love that irony)

Meh.

I cannot vouch for the Dodge/Chryster minivan. Since my dads Plymouth Voyager has 1,260,xxx km on it, on the small 4 cyl mitsubishi motor... And no particualar rust outs yet, and it's a northern/winter car.

From the arse-end of the Czech Republic, it is the most un-reliable car ever, it is the Skoda:

that skoda looks good to me, i actually find it quite sexy. it kinda reminds me of my fave car, a 240 series volvo. anyways id take that... although when your main means of transportation is a bicycle which doesnt even have brakes youd take pretty much anything.

Well here is a car that really takes the biscuit as the worst car ever. I don't know how this company keep making cars in the former Soviet Union, it remains a mystery, but the car is the Lada Riva/Signet:

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Geo Metro and Tracker. Those are the two ugliest cars next to the older versions of the Astro vans, the newer ones look a lot like a Chevy Safari and those vans are awesome!!!

However, the worst car ever made would have been the East German 2-stroke 600cc engined car. The car is the Trabant 601. The car had a shitty lawnmower engine and you could hear it a mile away. These cars a jokes.

I dont think It could take a 302, but then again... seen that Focus with the 4.6 Cobra engine? Rwd, and all

Yes, Kruszchev, it's a mobile speed bump! (Smart car - a nightmare!)

Hehe, i'm on autopilot's side when it comes to to cars above, I like them too.

1 for you maybe, Beast. Here is something I found about a yugo, made me laugh for a while.

Image

"I once test drove a Yugo, during which the radio fell out, the gear shift knob came off in my hand, and I saw daylight through the strip around the windshield.

The Yugo's first stop after the showroom was the service department: 'Fill 'er up and replace the engine!

Any time we made a right hand turn, we all had to lean to the right to prevent the driver's side rear tire from scraping against the wheel well.

At least it had heated rear windows--so your hands would stay warm while you pushed"

Tony... Haha haha... to damn weird

Ladas in my oppinion are tanks for their class.... untill the first raindrop comes... then there isnt mutch left... they contain nothing unneccesary... actualy theres not mutch in them at all

they are shit... but they have sometype of sentimental value... like the US tanks in WW2... they where shit... but they where MANY

geo metro.. suzuki swift, pontiac firefly, chevy sprint.. they are all the same car hehe!

anyways i like lil crappy hatchback econo boxes.. such as the omni, fiesta, rabbits, suzuki esteem haha.. they have such character, espcially if you get them all dented and scratched!

those are my second choice though, my first choice are those nice 80s small boxy cars like a jetta or fox and of course volvos.

I'd have to say the worst car I've ever driven was a POS '86 Dodge Lancer. It had EFI, but it acted like a carburated car when it came to starting in cold weather. Once, on a hot summer day, it would not start for any reason! Pumping the pedal didn't help either (which usually helps somewhat). It didn't start for a freakin' hour of griding the starter! Not to mention the thing was seriously underpowered. 0-60 MPH in 23 lousy second because the tranny wouldn't shift into third. I had the tach pegged off the guage before it shifted! Stuid POS car. The backseat would occasionally fall down on hard braking and the stupid thing leaked tons of oil.

Here is an actual picture of the oil stain after 6 months!

Image

I hated that car.

hmm dodge/chevy master keys..?! thats so evil! what powerful pirate connections must you have! although it sounds like total fun.. imagine all those beautiful chevy coriscas at my disposal! i could just never do anything that mean! if youre actually going to be doing such things hopefully you'll be taking insured vehicles at least, as issurance companys are just as criminal heh, and hopefully the vehicle owners wont want to off himself / herself ! or unless yr yanking em from janky used car lots or something like that

You to can have such keys, as they are available to the public for about 30 bucks each, nice eh.

I'm from a family with a Citroen heritage - my father owned a 2CV, an AMI8 and a GS Pallas in the past, and now drives a Xantia.

Not everyone likes Citroens, some people are even affraid of them, but the ride they have with the hidraulic suspension is damn smooth. Oh, and freaking out people who dont know about the suspension is fun. Once I stopped on a stop light next to a tuned car, dont remmember what it was, sorry, lowered and all. The look on his face when I lowered the xantia within 3-4 inches off the ground is something I'll never forget.

The Trabant is the one'n'only true "Piece o shit car". U probably dont know that its mainly made out of...PAPER  Yep thats right! Its a mixture of paper, wood & some chemicals to reinforce it. Just try to smash it, n ull see millions of wood-like pins. And that car can be a cabrio in minutes, bcoz the roof is mounted with 2 screws! Beat that  Here in my country it has alot "nicks" like: "Lord karton", "plastik Fantastik", "Mydelniczka" hehe...

Beast, how much were those hydraulics? By any chance do you know? Thanks. If I can save up enough, after the neon lights or maybe the spinning hubcaps, I'm going to check those out.
