porsche shots!

Post by autopilot »

Here is some NFS porsche unleashed action (Shrazwald map).. Some of the maps in this game are damn beautiful.. espcially this one, I love cruising dence foresty eye candy type maps.

I kinda wanted to make something like that for c2.. but then the more you think about it.. the more stupid it would be. I guess if you tinker with the gravity you wont have your cars fly over the trees on a slight incline.. and if you make specific cars for the map.. like 5 car lengths high over the wheels.. as once you alter the gravity to a more correct feel.. the bottom of the car is scraping the dirt! With all that done it would still suck however.. junk engine sounds.. weird car behavior.. nah better forget it

Ooo, I love that track too. Installed the game yesterday just to cruise those tracks for some time. There's something special about those tracks. Magical..

Hmm, auto....what you said about the car's bottom scraping the dirt is true, but....you do know that you can raise the model and bbox to allow the suspension to "settle", right?

Hell, I had to do that for each and every car I have installed.

Yes indeedy, a lot of these NFS tracks have beautiful surroundings and great atmospheres! Too bad the games themselves suck. I usually get bored within five minutes..

SmallBlock: Yes true.. but thats gotta be annoying to do! If you say you've done it.. I respect your persistance! That must be hell!

Carma: Can be boring yes, its just a driving game really.. its just no fun to smash up cars and such.. You think after so many games these guys made they would get it right.. but no dice there! I dont like any other NFS game other than this porsche one, although I havent played 6 or 7.. I like some of the other aspects though.. the nice technology.. you even get to turn on your blinkers and such, how cool!

Alan: Oh you play this too? Id love to play on multiplayer with you (going the wrong way of course!)! Id have to reinstall the game how ever.. as i downloaded a noCD crack for it, as i hate having the damn cd in there.. multiplayer no longer works with it!

I have to find the cd and reinstall it as well. I had it on my old computer which just blew up and took ALL my C2 stuff and other games with it. Anyhoo once when I get it going I'll let you know and we can race! (driving in reverse with the right turn signal flashing then making left turns is pure evil!!)

I like driving the 911 Turbo at 180mph on the Autobahn. Scary with traffic on. But I wish the cars smashed better. Only time it's cool is when you take the Turbo through Cote D' Azur and drive it across the near end jump and smash in the front bumper.

Thank heavens there haven't been licensed cars in Carmageddon-games, otherwise we would have to drive Big Dump @ 500 km/h to smash a headlight of a Porsche, if not faster.

Porsche Unleashed - Carmageddon Style!

Post by CarmaHolik »

It's time to smash up some shiny cars, or more specifically, shiny Porsches!

...and YES, they both died, for the crime of being shiny! :supermad:

I dont really care for the hatchback version though.

I Must!!? Quickly?! Before someone else beats me to it?!?! - Haha. yeah right.

I plan to, but it aint gonna happen... till it happens.

CarmaHolik: I notice there no other cars to speak of in those photos, are you having some trouble handling such a powerful automobile   j/k

Your fire looks quite interesting btw, looks a lot more richer than the fire in my game for some reason, did you modify the tifs or something?

Speaking of richer, how do I get high res mode? I tryed adding the line -hires to the shortcut patch, but it made no difference. Is it glide only? I tried it with glide as well but no cigar. Oh, one more thing, where did you get the wheels on that silver Porsche?

Oh and @ob, the track is Daytona Speedway, I think it's at Crashocalypse.

Autopilot -> Those new fire tiffs are from Ravage's FX Patch. I edited the explosion textures myself.

Troll... I mean... Kitteh! -> Those wheels came with the car!
