Previously unreleased C1 conversions of AdR C2 cars

Post by Deep_Blue »

Apparently....digging into the readmes, I already got permission from AdR to release them.

(I also dug up an old thread where he OK'd the Eclipse).

Bear in mind that these are *oooollllllldies*

Meaning these are pre-static crush data from Stainless so they turn into origami when hit hard enough, the wheels do strange things when used as opponents and all the cockpit views use the green Eagle/Hawk/Whateverthehell I felt like using at the time when I was figuring out C1 cars like a monkey with a shiny new hammer.

Anyways-I'm sendin' ya the zips, Coffey.

Ok, just uploaded the files.

Download here.

Right now my C1 is messed up. Need to sit down and fiddle with the settings. I had it looking good at one point. Now it's dark and pixelated.

OK. Thanks man.

Heads-up. The Eclipse textures disappeared when I ran C1 under D3d windower. Just a red, untextured model. They did weird stuff when I was running C1 by itself sometimes, but recently under stock C arma95, they worked nicely.

If anybody can find the problem and fix it-send Coffey the updated zip.

D_B: I don't see why you use D3D windower? Just use hifi's ddraw.dll stuff. Contact me on FB if ya need assistance with that.

Both these cars have been a long time coming, I remember these from back then.
Were'nt they listed on TSS or Crashoc but weren't downloadable?

I remember posting pics of them here, but I didn't have the OK to release them yet.

It was so long ago I forgot about them for a good while and recently found them again.

Hmm. Regarding D3D Windower-I'm using it because Mastro hooked me up with it last evening and I used his tut to set it up. I can make C1 run in a kinda-off-center 1024x600 window and the graphics are WAY better than stock C1 (The resolution is still 640x480 but the window is huge-for my netbook anyway.)

Yeah, I dunno anything about hifi's stuff. QTZ pointed me to something called 'carma_dlls' that I d/l'ed but haven't done anything with yet..

I probably will need asistance setting that stuff up if I need to.

What's the difference with hifi's stuff compared to the windower?

If I can use it and it'll make my C1 better-please write me a quick tut in a FB PM or email it to me at (roadpuppy@netzero.com).

Lemme know, 'K? I wanna make ma C1 the best it can be cuz I've been looking at blurry graphics since I bought it new.
