No, it's not modeled extra-sloppy...It actually looks like that!
The guy was even nice enough to do donuts so I could see the whole truck...

This is pretty cool. It looks good alongside the other MM2 cars.
I had to do some fixing to get the Menu images to work and there wasn't a driver pix? I added one, ok?

Minor criticisms, I wish the texture were 'sharpened' somehow. A 12 or 16 sided wheel would look a lot rounder. The shadow is odd.
Don't get mad, I think you did a great job capturing the look. I just think some few extra touches would make it even more amazing.

No prob atall, JC.
Anything to make it better-I appreciate.

The shadows don't always show up right on my netbook so I usually ignore them-my bad.

I've completely forgotten how to make a driver image....

The texture were the best I could do considering (unless you know a trick I can use in the future).
Every one of them was from a screenshot off the YouTube video (Watch car go around in a donut and cap screenies when the side I wanted was in the right angle) which was not very hi-res. PSP7 doesn't do much for sharpening but pixelize everything that isn't an edge... :techsupport: Makes pretty good alphas, though!
I agree on the wheels... I guess I got so used to looking at them ma brain made 'em round after awhile.
Aside from the XB Falcon GT, there really are NO good pictures of the odder Mad Max cars (front/sides/rear, etc.) so I kinda hafta make do.

It took me off and on about all day to find a side image of a Landau coupe for the latest one I'm working on. Lotsa Thunderchickens, but no Landaus. I was almost gonna mate the roof off a Chevy Chevelle to a Ford Torino and put an LTD nose on it to make a Landau til I finally found a medium blue side view that I could greyscale and darken to look black. I drew the skin on the current one for use as a drone, but I like 'em somewhat photorealistic.

I hope you don't mind, since you had included the OBJ I dicked around in CarEd and PhotoShop for a little bit on my copy.

I tried the 'sharpen' filter and also added some 'noise' to give it a little gritty texture. Also threw some different wheels on too.

Ah MUCH better wheels!

Ya I left the .obj (unlike in earlier days) to encourage modding. We ain't quite got the same crowd we used to have.

Mostly the diehards nowadays.

Hey, I saw in your top images there's big red striped walls. That's not supposed to happen. That wall is supposed to be 'invisible'!

You can grab an updated 'big track' zip:

D_B, I'm still interested in porting this car to C1 if that's ok with you.
Still really wondering what we'll have to expect from MM4 :ssad:

Oh, yeah JC.... I know those walls are sposed to be invisible...I have my YON cranked up to 1000 usually because nowadays the only track I play is Maxed Out! After that one, pretty much all the others aside from the Bleak City *huge* meld are really not worth playing. I like big tracks where I can really drive.

Them lil bitty square-cornered ones just don't cut it anymore. Although I DO like the arenas like Blunderdome and such.

Now did you mean the walls on your updated BigTrack are now alpha textured? Now THAT I'd grab.

 I love that track and it's good for testing cars as well as just driving flat out as it loads pretty quick compared to the minute and a half for the max map.

@Tosh-Go for it! :grin:
as far as MM4...well...I dunno. Tom Hardy's gonna hafta really get into the part to replace Mel.
as I understand there's sposed to be *3* simultaneous movies underway.

"Furiosa"- the road war story and two more. The sneakers suggest that Jessie isn't dead and has taken to the road in one of the films. While poking around through MM4 speculation sites one day, I came across a teaser vid featuring an interview w/ George Miller and this car was featured. Apparently they bought it from this guy "Snapper" to use in the movie as 'degreaserman' states in his Youtube vid.
