Merry Christmas to an old guy

Post by Mad_Maxine »

So. I like making stuff for christmas, Usually its something lame.. Like an experiment. or some mod of someone elses car. or even a skin. But this time I wanted to do something more worthy, afterall Ive actully really enjoyed this christmas.

So happy christmas.. Deep blue, And all of you. I was hoping youd like this.. I hope you like newer model bikes too. Like this one, I personally like the old styled modern hearlys,

Image

Nothing more than modling done so far, what you see is all there is.. And yes, thats a 'pose' pic, so ive doubled all the parts that would have double sided textures just to see how itll all look

The way they place the banners sometimes they look like the download link. I've clicked on the wrong ''Download Now" plenty of times.

Holy crap!, Christmas was it really that long ago? This allways felt like a recent mod to me. anywya Story time!

Prettymuch imediatly after finishing and uploading this I made a flame skin, that turned into a biker gang type of bike, added saddle bags and such, Then I made a quick cop bike.. This was all just after christmas a few days after the release of the orignal bike... then they got left. and they sat there.. Then I made multiple skins for them about 2 weeks later, Then it sat still again, Untill now.. It turns out all the menue images, and such work, and everything is togeather, so I have no idea why it wasent released?

So without further delay...
The Biker gang, And cops mod,
Comes with a stand alone biker gang bike, and cop bike, that run along side the orignal harley, allso each one comes with a few skins each, So ya.

Ha, these is cool. I like having a bunch of bikers as opponents.
The Rob Zombie biker is awesome. Between him and the forklift driver, you're really giving personality to the drivers. Nice.
But Mr Crankypants wishes the cops had different heads/helmets.

I gotta say I really love these bikes. I did increase the red line speed because I couldn't catch up to the opponents :swheel:

I'm surprised no one's done an all bikes mod before. I set up an opponent.txt with just bikes and it's pretty fun.

Boyyyyy dat max map gettin' some use, eh?

Rarely do I run on any other map except your Big Track. (and that HUUUUUGE Bleak City map) The lil bitty stock C2 maps just don't cut it anymore. I can actually *drive* somewheres now.

Yeah the huge maps are great, however unless you add like 29 opponents (which makes the game crashier) it sometimes feels empty :/

Looking at the bikes and how Coffeycup set up an opponent.txt just for that, made me think a Road Rash follow up could have easily been built onto the C2 engine. Crazy all you can do with good ol' C2 :ssmile:

Yeah, I set my start grid so I have at least a few cars start with me and the rest spread around the map. I like the car chase aspect of the big maps. So I want a fast vehicle and the opponents to have simple models so I can see them in the distance.

But I know what you mean, sometimes it's 'where'd everybody go?'

Yup. But that's half the fun of a big map. Runnin' like hell to catch up to 'em. I purposely don't use the 'map' key so it's a surprise when I happen upon opponents.

The chase rocks.

Only thing I wish is that opponents were nastier or 'more purposeful'. Or we had some cops a la C1. Sometimes being chased is fun, too.

Yeah, I know. Either they are ignoring and you following the path, or aiming straight for you, ignoring the path. Woulda been cool if they were a little more cagey, following you at a distance and then ramming etc.

On the big Outback map you can drive alongside the pack. That's kinda fun weaving in and out of.

ImageBack on topic...having 15+ bikes on a map is cool.

Dirtbikes would be fun to do, I can already imagine a pack, with diffrent riders in there leather and spikey sholder pads, and chains and such hanging from cirten bikes, others with all the bodywork missing, etc, yah.. Mabye ill try more bikes, was going to make a sports bike at some point but this seems like a more fun idea,
