I downloaded it. Loving the feel of that level so far. Gonna race the hell out of it this night.

EDIT: Raced and it was a lot of fun. As said by someone here, I like the gritty feel of that map, too. Very nice, Mastro. I always liked your maps.

@Mastro: You'll have to tell us more about this.
Have you been able to export the exact original PSX tracks or have you remodeled it in CarEd?
The Readme only credits you so I guess it's a recreation of yours? Looks very close to the original.
Nice use of the full lit trick btw, these neon signs were calling for it :ssmile:

They only additional thing I would like to see is animating some of these cool signs. I might change some of mine.

Yep, I made the model from scratch and textured it using the original textures.
This was my first attempt using this method: http://carmageddon.forumfree.it/?t=63416191

Nice map mastro. It is actually a lot bigger than I thought!

It has a bit of that tomb raider feeling because of the tile-isth way the track has been setup. It also has a nice gritty feel to it. The custom powerups and the textures work well too. Me likey!

I would have expected a nice easter egg though. Or I might not have found it yet off course...

Oh heh! Well you remade it very well!

I'm going to port all the tracks to C1 btw:

All this thanks to Errol and Harmalarm ofcourse
I guess they'll come in handy if you wanna continue with the C2 ports? Noncars, powerups are plotted and all.

@Harm There is a good looking man hidden in this level.

@Tosh: Stunt Enclosure (Circus map) looks really good in that pic, I can't wait to try it out.
Are you going to make a mod with the PSX cars and levels? Any news about the ped plotting program?

Oh nice to see those psx tracks tosh!

It's fun to see that these tracks resemble the originals in many ways and that they are clearly remodels/machups of both c1 and c2.

The beaver woods like track is recognizable enough, but has a bigger cave area. and the whole upper area seems to be missing.
The winter track has the look of the c1 winter track with the church and the town, but has the ramp of the c2 track.
That racetrack looks interesting in my opinion.

I wonder how much fun they are to play with. Carma PSX never seemed very interesting, but the tracks might work well in c1. Maybe even in C2? :swheel:

Hey Mastro, I had forgot about that pic! It's really surprising to see that they worked with PT2! Too bad the Magnificence Hotel didn't make it to the game, looks much smaller than the SP original though.

I'm not going to make a TC mod or anything out of it, I just want to bring these assets to C1 as standalones  I'll take my time to make it right though, and anyway I want several other projects done first.

No news about a ped plotting program but here with the PSX tracks I have the coords of the peds so it will be very easy to plot them for C1 :swink:

Harm: I never paid too much attention to the PSX Carma, as a whole it seemed less good than C1/C2. But some of these tracks here really look great! Esp. for C1. I hope I won't have too much work with the C1 palette though.

Hey Mastro

I hope you don't mind but I made a little patch that adds animation to to your neon signs. (I love how those look)

It adds some more TIFs and it does overwrite the CC1.TXT with one that has all the FUNKs for the sign anims.
So if you've made edits to your copy then back it up. Zip has folder structure so normal install.

Go ahead and fiddle with the timing if there's just way too much going on. :supercrazy:

Got it, will upload update tonight

I like that one building that has 6 or 7 signs on it. I feels like Time Square with all the flashing and blinking going on.

UPDATE I uploaded version 1.1 with the animated signs
