Auto's green concept car's been released. It's pretty cool. I love the motor sounds! It's just too silly to drive! Nice job on it! It's so realistic! Almost like you actually took pictures of the "real" car and used it for textures!

Well, the concept of a concept is lookin smaller and smaller... It's an official 2 seater now. More like a go kart with sheet metal. I got some time to do the interior and engine for it



3983 polys thus far, with only the trunk and small bits left to go. I thought I might come close to going over, but the engine wasn't that expensive. I think in the end it will turn out about 4300 polys, so that is good. I still have to redesign the back for lights and stuff, I got most of that worked out in the front and defined the hood.

Keep the pics commin guys. I like seein what people are doing.

I dig the front end, sorta evil looking, I dont really like how the door area is indented inward. I think with that front end it would make a pretty cool looking.. "chubby hatchback". Though its your conept of course!

OK, junked the old idea... and about 5 other models in the process, trying to find something more original. I kept having this vision of some cool little car, that you could take with you on a trip, or surfing, or skiing. Something medium size, for you and your buds. Kinda flashy, kinda normal. The first concept I came up looked alot like a Mini Cooper... So that wasn't gonna do, after fiddling around with it some, and rebuilding it a few times, I came up with this little idea:







Just a little something that makes you want to go out to the beach and have a little fun. I will probably redo the rear a bit, but essetially that is the model I am gonna go with.

Tell me what you guys think. And I am off for a week or so on vacation. But I will check back during that time.

that rocks Beroc! ok, i've got my computer back on track now, and have started workin on my concept again. but one problem..... as you can see, i changed the headlights and added vents and a wheel+rim. anything i add new to it like this turns black, even if the normals are lined up. take the headlight for example. i deleted the faces around it, moved some verticies here and there, then add the faces, and thats what i got. so, anybody know what the problem is? oh yea, i use ZModeler.

Liking this much more then the fieroish thing, looks like it'll be pretty fun to smash up, just make it real cheap! Plus maybe those surf boards can fly off and decapatate some peds ala lethal weapon2!

Sorry, I'm coming into this thread late so I'm only going to reply to this last car... Beroc man, that is fucking cool. But I have a suggestion: make the boards different... and stack them, hardly anyone puts their boards side by side (well maybe they do in the States, I don't know). Looks a bit like a Ford Focus. Anyway I like this, obviously... only qualms I have are with the boards... I hope you come up with some good skins for them also... ooh, and as its an estate car, you could put a small 5' fish surfboard in the back.

I think it ends June 1st, just over two weeks away.

Stacking the boards would be more accurate, but, in this case, I will want them side by side so that they don't dislodge wierd. A smaller board in the back sounds like a good idea. I am more inspired by the Nomad above then the Focus though.

Heh, it's very simple to tie on.... Just 4 verts and it's tied..... :P

I probably won't do the smaller board in the back, cos I want the bed to be visible.... Which of course means that there is actually gonna be a texture there.... As opposed to the norm for stuff I do.
