A compromise?

Post by Freddy »

Ok I have been at bit quiet lately but have been reading these threads with interest, This Rice v Muscle (what about good old British Cars!) thing is quite amusing so how about this for an idea, remember this...

Image

Well its that Toyota Crown model that eventually became the Crowning Gory. Now what you may or may not know is that the Toyota Crown was originally designed for the American market (big, lots of chrome, dosen't corner) so its a rice muscle car if you will, so how about I fnf-ize it? alloys, spoilers etc? make it as OTT as possible with the obligatory NOS logo and 'tyte' graphics Image just as a bit of fun .....or is this a really bad idea?

What about making this Crown in stock version too? I don't see much British cars around and I would like to see one stock too... But after all, that's only me...

Lookin good, I personally would make the wheel openings a big bigger and put like 20" rims under it, and make it a low rider....

and I am not to keen on how the wing in the back connects to the body, but that is up to you....

lookin good, but to be ultimate rice it will need:

-the one wiper conversion, adds up to 10hp!!

about 50 stickers evreything from NOS to goodyear to hyundai-10hp per sticker!

-DUAL fart pipes, but 1 of them isn't connected to anything..it has to only LOOK like duals.. adds 50hp at least

-a bookshelf wing, ugly AND stupid like this:

http://www.anti-rice.com/ricepics/mustang%20-%202.jpg keeps your rice planted good, also adds 10hp at the ground!

-clear taillights- make you faster

-blue turn signals - make you turn better

-the holes in the air dam need to be filled with chicken wire - looks hot! 2 hp gain

-stripes of some kind - the tackier the better!

-about 3 or 4 sets of fog/driving lights

-tape on the headlights that make em look "mean"

-a banner covering half of the windsheild that says something dumb like "Lethal"..double your HP if you add one on the bottom behind your one wiper converison like this fool..http://www.ricecop.com/viewpic.php?pict ... ssan-3.jpg

-and of course:

the requisite TYPE-R and V-TECH or V-TEK badges!! 20hp each

Just remember the golden rule of rice...

STICKERS = PERFORMANCE

YELLOW = PERFORMANCE

here are some examples of pure rice:

I don't want it to look too naff, just thought that ricing a Toyota Crown would be funny. (besides don't want those rice boys on the GTA3 forum to realise its a joke, got to be subtle about it, see if we can get one of those pricks to convert it?) Anyway we are talking low budget ricing here, lots of plastic bits but nothing too complex like flaired wheel arches or low rider suspension, and certainly no engine modifying thats way too expensive! Beroc, what king of spoiler did you have in mind then?

Around here if you're going for cheesy (or cool, depending on your taste)you'll want the stick-on plastic chrome or better yet, gold fender trims, stick-on purple window film, among other things! Things like that on that Toyota would look sweet

Don't forget the florescent lights under the car. You can't have an athentic rice racer without the red or green glow under your ride.

Actually, I like the shape of what you have, just dont think it should connect on the quarter panels..... Perhaps some extensions from the trunk would look cool.... Spoilers are a very finiky thing. It is hard to say, do this, cos you never know till it is on the car.... (i.e. I have only seen one Mustang with a cool spoiler, a 35th aniv one owned by a friend, the rest of em suck.... ).

It looks great!

Now, you should put touches of yellow(like on the wheel center caps or the parts that should normally be chromed) to make it go faster!
