Kicker, I understand where yer coming from. History is usually written with some bias, too. Native Americans were taught to despise the white man-Blacks in America are taught not to "sell out to whitey", Much like Middle Eastern people are taught to hate Americans. Whether yer stupid depends on where in the world you happen to be standing, I guess.. But in the situation our troops are in now, there's an old saying that's pretty much what Dubyah said (You're either with us or against us.), Similarly and applying to our troops over in Iraq-"If you're not working to solve the problem-then you must be a part of it".

Their problem right now is getting into Baghdad to kick some serious ass on Saddam and the Republican Guard-who, by the way really don't have any reason to exist in a post-Saddam Iraq-No wonder they fight so hard. Thing is, they die just as easy as they fight hard. Good thing otherwise we'd be seeing Vietnam-like friendly body counts. Now it appears to me that all these protesters are not making a whit of difference to what actually happens-all they appear to be doing is what they have always seemd to do best-whining. Plain and simple. Nobody in the real world listes to whiners. (Just MY opinion of things, mind ya.).

Takeshi- where the hell didya get the idea that Americans hate Canadians?? (I'm "almost" Canadian-born in Niagara Falls N.Y.), spent a lotta time in Canada and I've always been welcomed there and same with Canadians that come over to our side.

The war is not going to stop after Saddam gets killed, then they will go to North Korea and kick asses, after that they will go to Colombia and kick some white-of-cocaine ass, then some black-with-il Venezuela. At the same time they will make economical punishment to all that countries that don´t support "the war"... And I can keep talking for ever.

I´m not worry about Saddam, he is going to die for sure. I´m worry about the millons that will die in each country that don´t obey the US.

I will not explain ecomony, you should read some work of John Stiglitz (Nobel Price winner, and former employee of the IMF) You will learn about the new way of colonization, economy. When that does not work, comes war.

Why you critic kicker? In theory you live in a free country, but does not like look very free lately. You can´t see the dead bodies in Irak, you can´t see other opinions that the ultra-right. deepblue, the nature of the statement "what Dubyah said (You're either with us or against us.)" scares me. the fact that he basically said that he will not listen to points of view that are not polemic shows his narrow mindedness. put it this way. if a high standing christian preist and his congregation say to you that indians should be exterminated, and if you do not ardently support the position than you are viewed as an enemy, doesn't that contradict the right to debate points that make sense (christian, if you are...) and points that don't (extermination)? bush is so short sighted that he needs to alienate, scare, or bribe nations into his coalition (of which he couldn't even name ONE MEMBER during the blair/bush press conference!).

yes, i proudly support our troops and wish them well....i love my country....but i question the POLICY that got us to this point, and the ultra-right is trying to shove a belligerent policy down our throats with threats and jeering of being un-american.

What´s interesting About Stiglitz is that he was a former worker from IMF, and he saw that the emplyees are econimist with very low notes, doing stuff that kill the economy from each place they where.

In the other hand, the example of Malasia speak itself. From be in default to build the tallest towers... With the help of Japan (Remenber japan? that guys they receive a couple of nukes, and they can´t not have any army... and now they kick some asses with the cars and electronics) they rebuild the industry. Of course they stop paying to the IMF, and stuff like that.

Wanna read something else, there is a guy called Chomsky (a US citizen, and jewish) that critics the external politics form the Republicans.

And If you don´t like that, read "1984" by George Orwell. A Futuristic story of a goverment that control every aspect of the life...

Maybe a react strongly, but if you look things from here... a place that lot of people call "3rd World" (puke, puke) and everything can happend.
