Carmageddon XNA remake update (video)
I've been working hard on my Carmageddon 1 remake and have just released a new video showing off some of the latest bits! Enjoy :)

Let me think out of the box: Do you think you can make this work on a custom firmware PSP too?

Just curious will you be able to enable the cheats?
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

Ya know what would be great? When this is over, make a Carmageddon mix, by mixing the best parts of C1 & C2...

Wow, impressive.
THIS!!! C'mon, give me a reason to dust off my PSP that hasn't been used since early 2008.

Great work on this project! As a proponent of XNA myself, it's really great to see an authentic Carma remake being made using it. Keep up the great work!
Given it's being made using XNA, which is a .NET based framework and a propriatory Microsoft library, there's no chance of it being ported to the PSP. 360 or Windows Phone 7, sure, as long as any copyrighted material is removed it would be able to be sold on those platforms, but XNA isn't and will never be supported on non-Microsoft platforms.

Let me be the one to ask the pointless questions,
since this is a remake and everythings new, will the firestorm tanker thing actully be abel to have its trailer? making trailers finally apear in carmageddon,
anyway looks cool, looks like the cars can slide without loosing control compleatly. cool..
Its safe to say its easyer to drift a car in real life than carmageddon,

Physics looks great, expect for one thing which jumped out as looking really odd - its at 3:19 in your video, the eagle crashes into the corner of a small building, it bounces back like its made of rubber. Should have smashed and moulded around that corner. Oh, unless you had a powerup activated, I didn't notice any powerup icons though.

Maxine's question was a great one!
Firestorm with trailer attached? Yes please, Sir.

Re: Carmageddon XNA remake update (video)
this looks incredible! It looks exactly like C1!
Few questions:
Does it use the original C1 files or do they have to be converted in some way to work?
Are you keeping the original car handling (as odd as it was in places)? What about the menu screens? For some reason I'm very fond of them. Just nostalgia i think
Anyway excellent work! Keep it up! Would love to try it out. If you need any help on anything (e.g. adding paths to maps) let me know and providing it's not hugely complicated i'd be glad to help
