Changing the driver's sex

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I would just like to know how you can change the driver's sex in C2, so you get the right status for them in the status bar?

Hmm, I think that its hard-coded in the game. Like opponent #2 (Lady B) is female.

But if you want everyone to be male, you could just go into DATA/Text.txt and find the 2 places where it says "HERSELF" and "HER" and change them.

Unless someone know a better way to change them individually...

So can you also put "BOY" in the car's TXT file so that if your add-on car is put in opponent slot #2 (formerly Lady B) you don't get called a "HER"??

It doesn't depend on the slot #. Apparently the game will just check the line below "// 2 : New windscreen spec" (this is a non-cared style txt file btw, it's based on one of the original cars') in every car's txt file. If it's blank, it's a dude. If it says girl, then...you know.

I'm the one who pointed this out to Toshiba (I think?!)...and I've been using it where appropriate since 1999. So like, let's hear it for me! I don't even sound like a jackass for writing this / everyone is very impressed!

I know this hasn't much to do with the drivers's sex, but Mr Lunchbox (I believe it was him) was able to change the entire lines, in case you need that. He posted it here a long time ago. Or at least he started the topic.
