No, just this one for regular idiots

http://www.cwaboard.com/ubbthreads/show ... #Post80465

You need to finish it in SketchUp before worrying about the next steps.

1) Just make sure BLUE poly faces are reveresed. Only the BEIGE ones should be showing before texturing begins.

2) Rename your Materials to match your TIFs, otherwise everything will get named Material 1, Material 2, Material....

That's about it. I can get the map from SketchUp into PT2. But the rest of the work: opponent path, non-cars, etc. you'll need to do.

How many times do I have to say "I'll take care of getting it from SketchUp to PT2"?

Just send me your .skp file (saved as sketchup 5 version) when you're done.

I figured out what im doing wrong with skehup, all my faces are screwd up so im starting a new map, i also downloaded the newest skehup ( i think its the newest ) but im still uploading this map for anybody who wants to take parts from it, The idea was seprate places you could drie to using long highways, that id have drones ike 18 wheelers thundering down, only i think my roads are way too long and might get boring, so map scraped in exchange for something ill try and make fun, but stil here it is,

So now to go start on a real map that i hope to get into carmageddon,

Edit: File has moved because its 1,851 kb and i get the message Files can be no larger than 524288

so here

It's a nice map maxine.

In fact, it's an extremely good map with some great texturing.

But alot of the faces are the wrong way round, i could swap them all around and i could finish the map of if you wanted, but at the moment i dont have much time.

Hey,

the model does look nice, but yeah, about 70% of the faces are in the wrong direction... :supercrazy: I like the industrial area, unfinished bridge part... But I would also try to make the road a little less straight here and there, have a bit of curvature... I know, it's hard when texturing, but it makes it a lot more interesting you know... I wonder what your new map will look like. :investigate:
