No one, not even the old hands like Econo and Tosh have got it to work yet.

I suggest waiting until a few people have it up and running before you wate any more time.

I managed I think to get connected with 3 other people this evening !?!

Also I say 'think' ?! I loaded up the C2O Client, and then ran C2 manually, instead of getting the normal list of levels/maps I got Join C2O! I click on one, and went into the game, now am pretty sure they wasnt computer opponents, although I just dont know!??! LOL

btw due to MOM hosting being down between the hours of 10:30pm and 10am (GMT) I have mirrored the FAQ Page from MOM Forums:-

http://carma.jjunkies.com/c2o-faq/

Obivously amendments that Wolverine makes, will be updated in the above too....

You can't tell who you're racing against?

I guess I was thinking it'd say "N3WTON IS SWORN TO DESTROY YOU"

or "ECONOBRICK IS SEETHING WITH FURY"

Well yes normally, although as current it only works with Zecks Glidewrapper which doesnt work with my graphics card, well it does but all the menus are all fudged! so I couldnt read what was in the bottom corner! LOL

Maybe I'll try again and try Direct3D .... just to test!

Riddle me this...

Image

:/

Your C2O executable path could not be found in the Windows Registry.

I'm experiencing this same problem. Regedit clearly shows me as having both the SourceLocation and the ExecutableLocation in the registry yet C2O does not see it.

I used the re-pack right from the get go and I also downloaded the core update, with no luck. What gives?

And the Masters of Mayhem site is down...

25/01/2008: An update is planned for sometime today. It will contains updates which affect Anti-Cheat definitions. As a result, this update is mandatory. If you choose not to update, it is unlikely that you will be able to pass the validation checks when the update goes live.

Do you have to use the Glide Wrapper? I'm new to Carmageddon 2 and have been playing Splat Pack over a lan with my friends for years. All of my computers should be able to keep up in software mode at 640x480. The Win95 version of Carmageddon 1 used the software renderer of BRender and is identical in appearance to the Dos 3Dfx version we have been playing.

This maybe too much to ask but, can it be made to be router-friendly?

I may sound like a newb asking that, and yes I know I have to forward a port, but it seems like too much trouble to do so, no offense.

Hi guys,

Just a quick message, since i notice this thread brought up to date again. Have the issues mentioned in this thread been overcome now?

As said by n3wton the best thing to do if you do have a problem is drop a message over at my forum. Theres no counting that i'll be checking here so often.

Just to answer a couple of things (albeit quite old questions now). You can eith use Direct3D or Zeckensacks Glide Wrapper. Nothing more. The Glide Wrapper is recommended since the interface is more complete. Direct3D will work but it ain't too pretty... just for testing on shit machines

You can find out what player you are nearest to by looking at the indicator arrow beside the in-game player list. It also tells you the nearest players health and score etc. Graphical player names (above their car) will be added eventually.

As for java launch exception out of bounds... i'd need more info about this. Technically it shouldn't happen, since all of the launching code is within the C2O-XXX.exe and cannot be changed. So it's not like launching from a .BAT and forgetting to put any parameters in. Perhaps you have many versions of Java installed or something a miss relating to your Windows configuration. Again, more info needed.

P.S. The launch button in C2O is there for a reason, please don't run C2 manually - you will certainly experience problems then.

James.
