Big Spoiler...

Post by bruner_james »

so I've been working on this plane for a while now, and I thought I might throw it into c2. This was my first model done in 3dsmax, so be gentle.

Heh, that's cool. I like it. Definetly can see that in C2. Only thing I can think of as a suggestion is maybe wingroots? Or a short section of broken off wing? I dunno, I guess it depends on if this is supposed to be a wrecked plane made into a land vehicle or not.

Very cool man, I agree with CC, you should put something where the wing should be. It would make it more realistic, though totally up to you.

The plane: B-24 Liberator..

Check out the blue prints

Note that the wings do not have anything that juts from the body, so you could of course get away with just painting it on.

Thanks for all the comments.

I have a few hours today, (world of warcraft servers are down for maintenance  ) so I'll play around with the wings. thanks for that link it will be a great help, I have had trouble finding good pictures.

Well I am going to get to work.

EDIT,

I worked on it for a few hours and got some glass in the windows, and set up some "snapped off" wings. I liked the way it turned out.

Thanks for the feedback.

There are a few reasons why I took it to cared. The biggest was simply because it is the only way that I know how to get stuff into carmageddon. The second reason was that I needed to do things I only know how to do in cared, I am getting better at using max, but I'm much more comfortable working in cared.

I'll see what I can do about adding more details in.

Turret turning with the steering wheel?
If it runs, drives, stops, has a title, AND is under $300, I'll take it!

Wow nice vehicle! As soon as I saw it it reminded me about my attempt at making a 3d version of the B-24 in milkshape 3d but I never finished it....Got the mesh still though..The amount of faces on my B-24 is about 30k.Can't wait to see try this vehicle out in C2.

Alpha Dog - I am going to warn you one last time. Stop with the nonsense useless posts and stop digging up old threads. Or I am banning you.

You're starting TO PISS EVERYONE OFF.

Try using Google if you don't know or never heard of something like "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends"

Ha! Now it's no longer an old thread! Mr. James send it to me.

It looks like a car you'd typically find at Mac Carpocalypse in a wacky military sort of way

Yep, thanks. I will texture it in SketchUp. The plane was 67ft long, so this will be a BIG vehicle!

Hmm, maybe I should 3/4 or 2/3 size it? That'd still be 50' long.
