9200+ poly Yeah, I dunno. I can think of several possible scenarios of how the vehicle came to be.

Doesn't necessarily need to be 'apocalyptic' or 'castaway/survivor'.

I'm not going to invest a ton of hours, that I do know.

Just having some fun finishing it off.

Oh, tail will be cool if rudders turn as you steer...then they'll make sense!

I'm not sure where all the polys are coming from. There are quite a few for the window frames ..and that bubble dome. Mebbe I ought to poke around and optimize it before I go too much further.

I thought I mentioned that this was an unfinished model when I gave it to cc, there is a lot of work to be done still. most of the polies were in the window frames.

about the origin of it. I originally just made it for the learning experience. This was my first 3dsmax model. The fact it fitted into cloud aces was just a bonus.

Still lazy.

Yeah, there's a lot of detail in the guns too. I won't be adding a lot of polys but some minimal interior and a pilot/driver are a must.

Image

Ok, I'm one of the few people who care what the driver looks like. If I keep the whole thing under 11k, it'll be fine.

Very nice coffey, very nice indeed, if you want to reserve polys when you get near completion you could change the driver to one similar to the original C2 cars' drivers

Yeah, up close you can see there are a lot of polys in that window.

Where do you get all of these textures from Coffey?

Man that's nice looking!

It's like something from MS Flight Simulator.

1990 Nissan Micra K10 L (my first car, currently in long term storage)

I make them outa stuff I get from searching the crap outa Google Images. I find stuff from photos that I can crop, resize and manipulate. A lot of it is I guess a collage. The side of his head was from a picture of the flight helmet on a styrofoam head, that I cut out and stuck on the side view of a face.

The pilot face was from a guy with goggles that was looking to one side a little.

So I cropped the good half and then copied and flipped it for the other side of his face.

this is looking cool. I like the tail rudder idea, it really won't be much longer than the buses, or that crane.

As long as it fits under check points it will be fine, even if the tops of the tail fins have to be sheared off to get it done

have to start calling you the finisher, this is what, the 12th project you've picked up?
If it runs, drives, stops, has a title, AND is under $300, I'll take it!

lol razor u idiot xD

64ft is nothing, great job u did on it though. has anyone seen Death Race (new one)? the Dreadnaught in that movie was f***in massive. any of those cars from the new Death Race would fit in well in Carmageddon.

Sorry for the bump, but I am actually working on this again

Image

The Big Spoiler - After crashing upon return from her 500th mission, the "The Big Spoiler" was shipped back to the states and converted into a "Victory Bond" Wagon, driving cross-country partaking in parades, county fairs and fund raisers.

Unfortunately, not everyone found the sultry siren painted on the side as a correct portrayal of all that their boys were fighting for. Violence erupted in backward, inbred Beaver City when the inebriated driver of the "Big Spoiler" attacked the crowd of onlookers and other vehicles nearby. "Big Spoiler" ended up being sold for scrap, all that remained was the nose art, the cause of her demise, that for a time hung behind the bar at the local pool hall. Its present whereabouts are unknown. - Fux News

########################################################################

Bruner if you're out there: I am going to simplify the 50 cal MGs. They are nice but have lots of polys right now.

Fenders, turrets and guns are all that's left, I think.

Well, I got it into the game for a test. Boy, its big.

Image

I know that the B-24 didn't carry bombs under the wing, but I was desperate for some detachables.

Don't really want to add much more polys, but I think I need some sort of simple interior. I did make the hull texture two-sided, but that just made the inside of the plane the same texture and brightness as the outside. Plus because its so big, when the race starts the camera is inside the plane.

It looks insanely cool in game there's something wrong though as in, it randomly gets wasted by touching a wall (at 1mph).

It might not be necessary be a bug, as the bigger is the weight of a car is the easier it is to waste by hitting things others than cars.
