That's lookin' pretty sweet - you certainly came from the dark with that...

Although those wheels are FAR too high poly'd - what are they, 1300 each? :/

Interesting... quick to jump to the point.

first of all, there was no "importing" of this car into >anything< if you want,

I would be happy to send you the .OBJ encase you would like to check the poly

structure. sadly enough... it has my name written all over it

also, there is, and has never been any smoothing, this car was designed by me, and

modeled in CarED

@RM, thanks for the comments!. the wheels most likely wont see the light of day

ingame, (same design just no 3d tread)

@crash; Sorry, but who are you?

Also, I don't feel like fighting with you anymore toshie, so if you don't have anything nice

to say, don't say anything at all

Just making an observation. I've been keeping up with the community thru these threads but I don't have the resources to contribute as far as models so I thought I would say something. I apologize if I offended you tho, I'm not here to stir up anything.

Okay toshie, are you done complaining and make accusations?

Cause I really can and will send you the model if you want.

And you can search all day long, you wont find anything that even closely

resembles anything from another member of this board, or any where

else, so keep to your self and leave me alone.

@crash: yes i did find it offensive, mainly because you said you've never completed a

model, and then you said the model your looking at looks like a wadded up piece of

paper, but apology accepted. I'm not here to stir up anything as well.

Hello Twiz, Twizted, WickedCustoms, M16, Apex or whatever you want to be called.

I don't think you should complain, you're asking anyone's thoughts about your something you call car.

Besides, it's you that came back here, for whats left of the community, so then what DO you expect?

"Oh wow" yet another mod of that trenton. Right, i always make high poly wheels, convert them to CarEd, then to cut them up and to remodel most of it again, yeah i do that.

I do think you're name is written all over it, seeing it's unoriginal, plain boring and doesn't look like a wadded paper no, more like a folded paper.

Before i forget, STOP calling Toshiba as Toshie, it is and always will be Mr. Toshiba for you, you ungrateful, disrespectful ......

crash, don't sweat it dude, if you go have a look into the user list on top here and look up the name Apex__, then check all his post then you know why he was banned. He is not a new person here at all.

As in matter of fact he had like 4 profiles now, 2 of which we're banned/blocked/deleted 'cause of his attitude towards us, the community.

The other 2 were profiles in between/after those periods, trying to get back here..i guess he likes us (O RLY!?).

Not just by his attitude, but also by stealing/using our work or that from others from other sites. Also he didn't gave anyone credits for the parts/cars he used, so you know..anyone else anywhere would've been righteously banned.

Now you peeps just have to drop it!

Tosh:

"I wonder where you've stolen it this time"

Pretty much Any converted car is stolen. Some do have the permission from the author but there are tons of cars which dont have them. Your Flatout converts for example. You asked them nicely and got the permission from the creators of these cars? It's quite funny that it's still "ok", as it's a well respected guy who made it. But if it's the opposit way..

"Oh I don't feel like fighting or such. "

Good. I do hope you're honest about it. As it doens't have to be like that.

Twiz:

If you're Apex, you've been banned for reasons. So go away by yourself or I'll make you do it! But prove me othervise and your visits here is fine by me.

TTR:

First of all, loose the damn attitude! There's so much you "seem" to know, and still you shoot yourself in your foot and fall flat down. We had a discussion last night and you ran. You can't always have right, and it's not respectfull to just run way without even let the other part give his point of view. In this case it was mine. You're not above me. You're still a human being that's how I'm going to treat you. Face it. So how much shit have you now spread since last night, I wonder..

"Before i forget, STOP calling Toshiba as Toshie, it is and always will be Mr. Toshiba for you"

This just make you look like Tosh's little errand-boy. Is that what you want, or maybe you are? Doesn't matter. It just make you look silly. And this wasn't the first time. Can't you see that? Open your eyes..

I'll keep my eyes on this, to see where it excalates..

As for the "stolen" comments, anyone who assumes so damn much should be banned or removed

from such a site. and IF the car /is/ stolen like you two so easily presume please, please

find, show or get some kind of information PROVING that this car is infact "stolen"

or borrowed. or even with permission that it was converted and not BUILT with in CarED's

programming. IF you can find anything (or anyone) stating that his is infact their work.

please come here and post, i WILL prove them wrong in every way possible.

As for any other comments regarding this subject, they will be infact, ignored.

@Tony, I will be contacting you later to explain something to you at a later time.

I don't know why you guys who are obviously intelligent and normally even tempered allow yourselves to get so worked up about Apex/Twiz/whoever.

Frankly I don't believe the car, especially those wheels were done in CarEd either.

Without any spline/extrude tools I don't know how a human being could make those in CarEd.

The way I look at it, if someone uses anothers model, he's not fooling anyone, especially himself.

I know quite good who I am and how I work, Toshiba. Where my limits are, how to behave, etc..

The amount of posts from my side can be explained, but it's not necessary as it's not in anyones interest. So we'll move on further down.

Inactive? Maybe, maybe not. Only a assumption from your side, and it's understandable. I could think in those lines too. And the posts I've made is not just to "try to look smart". I believe I have quite a lot to say but it's necessary to filter some parts to have the post in a rather leveled manner, as it should. And I do have good points too, which we all have from time to time. The thing is, I dont just "think". I choose my words. Even those which pisses someone of. Maybe.. I got a reason?

You say "I think you totally fail to help this community staying alive". There is a big error I noticed right away. Is it only I that chooses if this community will fall or rise? No, it isn't. You know who it is? It's not 1 person, it's all of us. If you, for example, chooses to leave - you choose a path which will drag the community a tad downwards. Same goes for all of us. If 2 leaves, then it goes further down. Without people, the users, there wont be a community. So you see.. It's not only me. So if all those that "left for CWA for CFe" stays there and wont come.. CWA falls even more and you contributes to that fact.

And why it took a while to ban a guy. I do give people second chances, which not everyone do. And to ban here and there just because a few people is annoyed, isn't a proper reason in my eyes. What will happen next? This group's self-confidence grows and think they can get an admin to ban another guy just because they doens't like him, and another, and another. Is that a good way, you think? Who is manipulating who then? Banned Guy - admin? No, the Group is trying to manipulating the admin and think they'll get away with it. This I wont do! So if you wanna nag - go right ahead. I'll listen, but isn't forced to do as you say.

Yes, Coffeycup is back. A well respected person whom I don't think is a grumpy whiner. I think he believes in a fair and square manner.

And yes. I do feel I need to tell you how to act, as you're getting too far. You're an original, no doubt about it. You came, you saw, you grew. Grew too much, I'm afraid. You got fans from all over and the respect for you grew too. But as time went on I've seen things from you I didn't think would come. Sometimes I have no idea how the hell you think or reason, as it's really childish. So the question falls back - Who do you think you are?

Yes, I know the diffrence between "converting cars and stealing them & trying to get full credits". Why wouldn't I? So it's still not stealing? "I just took cars from really recent COMMERCIAL games and put them in C2" - this is still stealing. Credit doesn't matter, it's still stealing without proper authorization. That's the thing.

"I try to keep stuff coming for the people still playing the game and keep the community alive"

This is a good thing, indeed. But behaving like a spoiled bitch doesn't help it, I'm afraid. So change that route, boy.

"Man you should seriously try to make something cool in Max or such then release it on Internet and wait for it to be stolen by some fucktard telling he made it all by himself. Really satisfying ! Ask Econobrick~"

I havn't been through that like others have, but I still can have understanding towards the creator. I dont like the whole stealing-thing. Adr have talked some about it some time ago and it wasn't a kind string of words he had to come with. It's fucked, I agree.

And about the last thing regarding Apex posting WIPs. Why not, honestly? He must be very keen in getting stuff in C2 and share it with others. As he've come back several times. And that's not ok? Why? I know why.. because some of you people doens't like him. Hurts, doesn't it? That I know..

So I'm changing my pointed finger regarding attitude, from TTR. Congratulations, Toshiba.

You won't like me or my words more after reading all this. I know. You don't have to. I don't need any suckup afterall.

What I DO would like is all you people be able to deal with this shit yourselves so it wont need to happen and get bigger. But each time it seem to lead back to the kindergarden and the gang up goes on...

Y'know, it takes two+ to argue. if you people dont say shit about him, and his model, when he dosnt start shit, no shit hapenes. its realy that simple. All he did here was post a pic, and you guys jump on it and accusations fly. He was right, too. You need PROOF before you can accuse someone. The groundless accusations, coupled with the arguements started without Twiz even saying anything offencive at ALL, leads me to beleve that despite your placeing the blame on him, theres no one to blame but you.

Hey Crash, relax enjoy the show...

(Also, check the attachment above, inside will be the .obj to my car, inspect if you will)

as for the "wheels" they WERE modeled in CarED though, as their own separate .obj

frist off what i did was made one single point... second i clicked the "iterate" button, and

selected the angle (.07 i think it was) and then went down to the "number of iterations" put in a

random number, something like 25 or so, then repeated those steps tell i got a full circle!

next up i finished modeling the tire, didnt take long with the "D" button command

after that i started modeling the tire tread, just one single strip of the tread then once i completed

that step, i again went back to the "iterate" button, only this time i wasnt iterating points,

this time it would be the actual model its self, so i again put the rotation to about 0.07 and also

put in a random number like 45 for the number of iterations, this made the tread multiply like

rabbits in spring, kept that up tell the tread completely circled the tire!

so that concludes my tread making tutorial for CarED, if you have any questions about this tut

you know where to find me

one more thing, heres the underside of the car.

Edit,

heres an old WIP picture i had from a little while back

the created date on this exact image is... "Wendsday, March 14, 2007 9:45:04pm"

hahaha i almost forgot the image to my tutorial!

Your tutorial eh?

seems awful familiar.

Not that this is something someone couldn't figure out on their own, obviously. But the way YOU "explained" it seemed very vague...almost as if you just wrote it as a quick excuse?

In any case, I wouldn't be so arrogant if I were you. A high polycount doesn't automatically mean awesome model.

Quite the opposite, often.

And to others, if you hate him so much, stop giving him so much fucking attention. Simple.

edit (because I'm sure as hell not going to waste a seperate reply on this): It is, in fact, IN FACT not "infact" and what's with your spouting it ten times each sentence now?

If you want to sound snooty and condescending, you could at least take a "minit" to spell the crap correctly.

Re: New car

Post by Twiz »

Yes, MY tutorial, I wrote it sitting here on my comp wasting my time explaining to the masses here

that I did infact model the whole intire car (and wheel) within CarED, if needed, I could probably

model tire and tread within 15-20 minits. Aaaand even though you have a similar tutorial

two people can infact have separate tutorials on the same subject. (try searching for a simple

tutorial on how to make car paint in 3ds max  )

The difference between the two is that mine, is a tutorial on how to make tread

and yours, is how to make a perfect circle. although my tut did include that information

that dosnt mean the tut was about that specific information.

Also, I can infact write a more complex tutorial but how complex does it need be?

seriously, how much information on iterating points and models does a tutorial need?

if someone needs that much information on how to iterate a single model within CarED

should they really be trying to model cars in CarED?

A high polycount doesn't automatically mean awesome model.

Quite the opposite, often.

quite true, but who said I was saying this model is "awesome"?

every one here is so quick to conclusions

Nah, I have to be honest, my opinion differs. This bickering will continue, it doesn't matter who's in that thread.. I believe most of the people remember the Steve Irwin thread, yes, even in such topics this crap will continue.

Why don't we just reban the dude, and put him right back where he belongs, and that is not the CWA. He has had way too much chances. Everytime we give him a chance he starts b*tching about iteration, or 'the circle of life', or crashing airplanes for that matter.

By the way, he has had a permanent IP ban, why in f**k's name would we permit resistance 'workers' anyway??

Jesus, nobody gives up around here.

i never said my model was "high poly" you (again) assumed i even mentioned that.

though it is considerably higher poly than most cars in C2. So yeah, it can be

noted as a "High poly car" with in C2s standards (like 700polys for a car?)

does anyone have any kind of input on the model (other than trying to say its stolen, or

"its not high poly"?) something i can actually work with and change things, or is this just

going to be a non stop bitch fest untell the thread gets locked?

seriously just drop it, theres 3 people that have been ragging on me for a long ass time,

and even one of the 3 seems to be getting tired of the same old shit,(not saying who becuase

i might stir them up again lol) its the same shit as last time, and next time it will be the

same old shit again, so for fucks sake. drop the crap and get on with your lives.

hey apex!!!!

( hope u looked at my total retirement post )

anyway ... the front part of the car is great, but the rer fender... is a bit odd

it doesnt get along with the car lines (curves), (friendly and honnestly) the rear wheel intake sucks.

go with a fine line from the door to the rear ...( blocky style )

my complete honest opinion......hope u understand!!
