What ?!
Yes !
It's a fucking watermelon in that motherfucking Carmageddon2, doodz!!
Download at Road Reaction, in the peds section. Yes, it's a ped !
Doesn't walk around and stuff, it's a watermelon you know, but still it's gently 'n' slowly spinning on itself for no apparent reason but to be a watermelon ?!!
Does work in both 16 and 8 bit mode, 8 bit texture optimized for that shitty palette.
Does asplode like no other fruit in the world !
Is totaly useless ?! But only weighs 9k ??!!
Man I love watermelons, I once had a 5kg (11lb) watermelon! But what about a 9kg watermelon :s:
WATERMELON!

Watermelon !
Well I used the c2 sounds for thud and smash sounds, disabled the screams etc.
Sounds rather good I think.
I guess it's easy to make it bigger ; open it in PT2 and scale it up, then change the grounding offset in the moves text file. You can change the weight in the wmelon.txt file (in the TWT).
And yes it came out nicely
I'm quite happy with the simplicity and interaction. First time since Errol that a new animation is created and for a new bones hierarchy.

Watermelon !
Raaah magnifique !
Excellent !
un melon !
This idea is a thousand time better than the balloons, robots or the zombies of the official "non violent" carma versions !
What would you do next time ?
orange ?
apples ?
potatoes (a carma-potatoes style game could be great) ?
btw, I've got a question ... could it be possible to replace the 3D peds in C2 by C1 2D (more detailed) ped ?
With 2D peds, the carnage was total !

Merci
Well, the animation could work for any spherical object divided into 19 parts.
And I dunno about 2D peds. They couldn't be sprite like in C1. But should be plane quads with the texture applied on them with the right scale. I don't think it would look good unless the texture could be forced to face front or something. Also there's no way to have animated textures on a ped (but the small face anim ofcourse).
