This is only to people know here which games contents are currently being ported into carma2, and by whom, and also future projects which are almost garanteed to be done. So far i think it's only me and toshiba. Even tough most people here already know which games contents toshiba is porting, please toshiba reply here and keep updating the list in this post, so that we get this information only here in this post.

Here's the game content i am currently porting to c2 :

- Grand Theft auto 3 (yes ttr and toshiba, finally i decided to tell this info to the public here!)

And here's the games i already have the necessary tools to port as well to c2 later :

- Grand Theft Auto Vice city
- Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
- Gothic
- Gothic 2
- Ultima IX ascension (not 100% garanteed yet)

About me, I'm porting to C2 :

- The BIL map of GTA2 (The Industrial District)
- City 17 from Half-Life²


I think that Coffey will be interested in working on the NY city from GTA1.

I'm porting some TDR cars to C2 again :grin: and will check up on the 4x4 Evo 2 maps when i'm done here.

good! By the way i don't remember if you already told me, but how exactly you port the 3d models from tdr?!

There's no way to directly convert them from TDR so we just remodel them in MAX.
The only thing that is possible from TDR is to export the collision mesh to MAX and about that, I realize that it wouldn't take me much time to convert [i]1920s[/i] to C2 ; the texturing seems pretty basic, and not much to remodel out of it.

As Tosh says...we do remodel them from scratch, no porting whatsoever..ofcourse tho i use the texture from TDR :smile:

But by the thread's porting subject i mistakenly said port :grin:

isn't there someone which was thinking in porting the gta1 cities ? I think it was coffeycup, or am i wrong? It i am correct, please coffeycup confirm it here.

Yeah, Coffeycup asked me to downgrade the version of the GTA1 NYC track scene from MAX8 to MAX6 (or at least something compatible), but so far every attempt I proceeded failed ; it looks like the track is so huge that it can't fit any recurrent 3D format (except ASE, but there's no way to import it in MAX (haven't found totally compatible import plugin so far)). If you have any idea how to do this, please go ahead...

If I could find a keygen for Max 7 I could probably get the project moving...
but I think the last warez site(s) I went to infected my 'puter with a nasty virus,
that I'm trying to fix right now:errr:

Got a keygen, thanks guys. Do seem to be missing some DLLs that this GTA1 map is looking for..

that's really strange, those files i think they are from character studio... at least i think.... I got to try myself as well, since i also have 3dsmax 7.

Well, if the files were made into MAX8, then there's no difference between MAX6 or 7. Both won't load the scene.
Just two solutions : we have to find a way to export the scene to MAX6 or 7 correctly. Or you find MAX8~
