Re: Getting Carmageddon 1 Running on Windows 7 64-bit

I had to reread your post several times to get what you were asking. I must ask though, why don't you simply install the GOG rerelease? You'd get the DOS versions of C1 and SP installed without any hurdles. Installing them manually from the original CDs via DOSBox is tedious really. If you want to c...

Hey there CWR, I merged your old account CWR into the new one CWR63 then renamed it CWR. Password and email address are the same etc. Not sure whether the private messages were merged but anyway, that PM from HaveANiceDay was to ask permission to include some of your addons in this pack: https://www...

Added another entry, seems like an element from the Supastucka (the front intake (JKCOWL.DAT)) doesn't get imported properly with its actor-defined material. The material is read and all but not applied onto the model? I see the importer does set the faces with a null mat ID to 65535. Actor properti...

Yes, please don't bump 10+ years old topics for dead links as this is to be expected.
You can instead create a new topic for people to ask for lost files (there are many of them lately).

Merged your topics, there's no need to create a topic per suggestion. I agree that this is indeed very C2 material there, I could picture Econobrick making such an add-on. Somehow that also reminds me of a suggestion by Zero X Diamond: the Dinohattan police cars from the Super Mario Bros. movie. htt...

Re: Harmalarm's Carmatools Maxscript Pack [WIP]

About the colour index + range: it's just a couple of bytes, currently defaults to 0A1F, the first byte is the index of the colour in the C1 palette, the second byte is the 'range' to the second index, this defines a gradient between the two indexes. This is used in C1 when a material holds no textu...

Alright, updated the archive greatly. Thanks for testing quickly, Joker, I had noticed the problem earlier but didn't know how to tackle the issue for good. Re: Is anyone gonna make a AE86 for Carmageddon 2 (1998)

Nowadays, we rarely do requests. The C1 AE86 was an easy mod as the base came from GT2.
Would have to find a decent (but still lowpoly model) with an interior etc. to port it to C2.

I can't see any error in what you posted. Could you try with cars with a lower number, ideally stock C2 cars? like simply 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5? To make sure it's not related to recently added addons or an offset in the car numbering. You could also post the whole race chunk from RACES.TXT just in case.
