Re: ACT or DAT?
One more question. Can I simply delete the grove of a part to simply prevent it from moving/changing/whatever? For example, moving steering wheel: if I simply delete its grove, would it stop moving? Is the deleting enough or is there any other data needed to be modified?

<t>That won't do. If the car does not have a simple model, you must either create one yourself (haha) or set min_dist_squared in every car's .txt file to higher than 8 (which is default). I personally have set it to 15 (that's not enough if you have those yons modified which give higher view distanc...

Re: new skin
St Anger is plain stupid in my opinion Well, throughout their time in the spotlight, Metallica has had a few drop-off's in popularity. But, they have always managed to bounce back. THeir haven't been many band's with that kind of staying power. For that alone I have to give them credit. Regardless ...

Resolution or Size?
Which is the best variant - having a higher resolution but smaller in size texture or vice versa? An example: 128x128, 16KB texture or 64x64 20 KB texture? Which would C2 like more?

The only song of theirs worth listening to is 'Nothing Else Matters', 'Whiskey in the Jar' is quite good but then ...

Re: ACT or DAT?
I guess we've missed my question eh? So, how are the gears counted in C2 txt file - with or without reverse and neutral? It's not big deal, I'll figure it later out but it'd be more convenient for me to know that right now.

I am going to modify some c2 cars in PT2. Which file should I import - ACT or DAT? Is there any difference? I'd say no, but I want to be sure.
