Re: Bounding shape setting rules

I really don't think the bounding shapes are properly formatted. Please just follow the tutorial linked in my first reply up there. Additionaly, just looking at these coordinate lists, I can see there are three pairs of coordinates in common between both shapes. Maybe it's normal and you're just sha...

Re: Bounding shape setting rules

Please post your text file or add it to your post. It's much easier to find the issue like that rather than try and guess it. The bounding boxes DON'T crush, crumple or move at all. The collision shape won't ever change even if the front of the car is completely crumpled. Collision can thus appear t...

Re: IWantToFiddle - a tool so you don't need to type IWantToFiddle!

Works very well with C1. Game runs just fine now after decrypting.
However while it untwats C2 TWT files just fine, it should also extract P08 and P16 pixies to PIX8 and PIX16 respectively as without that additional step, the game will crash.

Re: Bounding shape setting rules

I think this tutorial best summarizes the essential: https://rr2000.cwaboard.co.uk/R4/TUT/PhysTut/Subpages/9Bounds.html What I want to stress: - C2 cars can only use the polyhedron bounding shape type. - Keep it as simple as possible and no more than 5 different shapes. I insist: as few vertices as ...

Taking the opportunity to once again thank you for preserving all this stuff and sharing it now.

The thought also crossed my mind that for years we've frowned upon packs such as the one from the torrent, and now years later, we rely on them to restore lost files...

Are you perhaps trying to install this mod on the experimental build? The mod was designed to be installed on the vanilla CMD with Minge, it has to be installed differently for the experimental build. I think you have to use the Carmodgeddon Updater as linked here https://www.cwaboard.co.uk/viewtopi...

They're at RR2000. 3ds Max sources included like the others.

The Monster Beatle has hires textures, I guess I'll update my C2 tweak with them 🤔

Very nice stuff, it also got me wondering whether it was possible to end up with hicolor (16bit) red eagle in Glide mode, by forcing a red tint on a grey scale gradient. Could be nice to try and enable shading on that hires Eagle btw. Split the posts into a new topic btw as the necro was a bit too h...

Re: Carma gets Hard boiled

Had a quick test of both cars, cool stuff esp the whole animated flesh one. However the second one is crashy straight from the car selection menu: it tries to load DODE.FLI instead of DEDODE.FLI, I don't know how you missed that as it should make the DOS version crash too. Also, your usual problem w...

Carmageddon II 9_21_2022 11_48_59 PM.jpg An instant classic IMO. Crazy how it feels like an addon from 1999-2000. Only thing I noticed is the blower not being two sided. I guess I would have made the shell model be the coffin closed so that she "gets out" upon impact or when doors are ope...

Re: Carmageddon 25th Annivesary

Oh right I imagine the bluriness reguarding Tanka's trailer comes from the fact the texel density is lower than the other upscaled textures. As I sent the sources, you can try having a go at upscaling it. Be warned though that a bug apparently prevents the Glide API from resizing 512x512 textures. I...

Hello Aydos, Great update! You can use Aseprite to make Autodesk FLI files as used by C1, awesome piece of pixelart software too, I really recommend buying it! You must extract both the injector exec and plugins folder in the root then run the injector. It will run CARM95.EXE, the one from Splat Pack.

You can also permanently patch the exec now that Jeff released instructions: https://github.com/jeff-1amstudios/carm ... bug-output

Re: Mixing textures fix methods?

Sure you can, rename the texture. If it's used in a material, hexedit the MAT file. Then go through the .txt and .wam files to change the texture filename every time it is referenced.
