Re: C2 How to clone cars?

Apologies for the late answer, CarEd can't load existing models with materials/textures . It's mainly made to create and export only. You can import models but have to remap them. Editing existing cars can be more tedious than creating new ones, if I were you I'd start by creating a simple brick on ...

Re: C2 How to clone cars?

If you only want to change the textures, well you can do just that. The original C2 release and the Steam/GOG re-releases have all the resources "TWaTted", packed into TWT files. While they can be opened and extracted, it's even easier to just grab the Vanilla C2 mini-pack here https://rr2...

Re: C2 How to clone cars?

Hello, Am I correct in understanding that you want the same car twice in Carma2 ? While you don't have to use a modelling program to achieve that, it's actually more complicated than what you'd expect... You basically have to rename all files and also change the references to these files in each fil...

Some news about ̷S̷C̷i̷ ...I mean, Stainless Games

We don't hear from them anymore since ShockRods sadly didn't perform as well as they hoped, despite the game being quite good  Apparently there is still players on the Apple side, but yeah, no one on Steam. Ah well. Anyway, they are hiring for a bunch of positions: https://www.stainlessgames.co...

Re: [C2] My custom car mod crashes the game upon launching race

Turns out the main issue here was a lone CAMERA_TURN_OFF_MATERIALS line at the end of the car text file without materials to hide being defined after it.
Another easy oversight found was texture filenames being too long. These filenames mustn't exceed 14 characters.

Getting music in Carmageddon 2 on Windows 10

No idea why Carmageddon 2 just doesn't want to cooperate while C1 and TDR can be fixed easily with different versions of winmm.dll. So this is a possible solution for most of you to get music playback working again in Carma2. This is for the GOG/Steam release, or if you got the audio tracks in a MUS...

Well sadly no I don't have any further idea at the moment to help you get Glide running, this is definitely an incompatibility of some sort but there's nothing obvious standing out. I can say this though: forget about carma2.exe, don't use the launcher at all. It introduces bugs (no sound for exampl...

Hello there and welcome, What is the exact behaviour? Nothing starting at all, a black screen then back to desktop, an error message maybe? So you ruled out the dll's already. Could you either try moving C2 out of the Program Files (x86) folder in case you've let Steam install it in the default Stea...

Just let them as their own component, no need to group them together or anything. C2 cars can have a myriad of components. With PT2, you must first import the ACT file, it'll then ask for the DAT and MAT files, PT2 will look for the tiff files into the tiffrgb folder. When you save the modifications...
