Yeah, with it set to use groups it took hours to import less than half of them and the computer crashed during the night so I've got no idea how long it would have taken to do them all. However, just commenting out the set group member and set group head commands made it import all the levels in lik...

Thanks for the details, it's been a big help understanding how groups work! I found the 3dsmax docs on groups seems a bit vague on the details of their use. After posting that question I realised the grouping happens even if the hierarchy is disabled so that would make it a lot more logical. The spe...

Thanks! I've learnt a bit more from your scripts after hacking around with them, such as how to keep 3DSMax alive and support progress bars during big operations like imports and exports and some ways of making my own scripts more optimized. Tosh has been a big help with explaining how C1 stuff is s...

Uber necro post of destiny. In the interest of simplifying porting C1 and SP tracks and cars to C:R I decided to modify your DAT import script script to add support for C1's file structure for loading cars and levels, including parsing a portion of the respective TXT files to get all the MAT/PIX/DAT...

It looks like the glide wrapper is using D3D's DrawPrimitive method using D3DPT_TRIANGLELIST as the primitive type, so each triangle always has 3 unique vertices no matter what circumstances. I think PIX probably isn't the best bet to see what the game is doing given that it sits between the glide w...

I am fairly sure the only difference between SKL and BON formats are that SKL are used for Biped/character studio rigged peds while BON are used with generic bone system rigged peds. I would guess the game expects SKL to only have specific bone names, maybe a specific order, while BON can have any n...

The other day I figured out the animation format for C:R peds so I could import and export animations use my MaxScript. Errol said the format was the same as C2's format, which hasn't been figured out yet, so I took a look this morning and it's actually a bit different but quite similar. The format ...

Slightly quicker than my previous method. Sho...

Yeah, if something like the Veyron was in the game, it would have to have a huge turning circle and awful handling to compensate (and I do mean even worse than it actually has) to make it fit in. No word on what platforms its on but they do use the word "platforms" in the plural.

Pretty sure that was just Squenix, who are just cocks when it comes to fan made games and remakes. They always slap C&Ds down the moment one starts looking good. The Unreal Chrono Trigger mod looked awesome and they killed that without any plans to do anything with the franchise.
