Re: Can't find some cars..
I was a bit too optimistic with the Wayback machine :) Yes the first few pages of MacCarpocalypse vehicle downloads works but then nothing... too bad because that collection is probably one of the most important to get back, along with Driven to Destruction. The Spray shop seems to work well most of...

I will do that. Some kind of cloud storage would be nice in the future. Also if we make another big Wasted! repository, some kind of picture next to the cars would be nice, if it's only the name often I have no any idea which vehicle it is, unless it's very memorable..

Re: Can't find some cars..
Thanks for cars Toshiba! Yes, unfortunately the HDD is completely gone, along with my collection, for example I had like 95% of MacCarpocalypse vehicles along with the tumbnail pictures, to make it easier to identify the car. I might try to rebuild what I can. The Archive Machine is great, most of t...

Can't find some cars..
I'm looking for two C2 cars I can't find anywhere.. -Hard Truck (by Boose): This was available at BCG motors and perhaps other sites. Very impressive truck, high polycount. -M.O.D monster truck: I'm not even sure if I got the naming right or where it could be found, it was a very impressive looking,...

I fried my HDD... I had C2 collection for entire websites, 1000+ cars.. damn..

MacCarpocalypse down!?
Oh no.. I hope this is just a temporary thing, this is one my favourite (if not THE favourite) site when it comes to Carma 2. I always considered this site to be the one of cornestones of the carma modding community.
Please tell me this site won't go to sleep forever :-(

Re: Using AI to upscale Carmageddon 1/2 textures?
I would try it but sadly most AI Neural Upscale programs require the CUDA technology that NVIDIA has, and I was basically team red (Radeon) almost all my life. It won't work on my Amd graphics card.

Re: Using AI to upscale Carmageddon 1/2 textures?
You're right about the sharp/grainy effect of the end result, now that I think about it, often the upscale looks the best when it is used in "rocky" or "rugged" surfaces, Morrowind were full of these, like Arx Fatalis or Dark Messiah of Might & Magic. I wouldn't mind the shar...

Using AI to upscale Carmageddon 1/2 textures?
Recently there's a big boom of modders remastering "old" games by using machine learning software like ESGRAN or Gigapixel AI. It upscales the textures and makes it more detailed. Sometimes the difference is not that much noticeable, however there are cases like DOOM, Final Fantasy VII, Mo...

Unpacked C2, GOG version?
Hi! Does anyone have an unpacked version of C2 from the recent GOG version? I've tried to unpack the files myself with TWT unpacker, but it takes ages to unpack all those files, and instead of the textures in a folder, I've got pixies.p08 and pixies.p16 files, which I guess are the compressed textur...

@Hairball11 Personally i like the ability to slip and slide around ingame... a car that corners like its on a slot car track is just boring and quite frankly hard to control with just a keyboard... tho the slippery feeling has its own difficulties... Same here, I too think the super-cornering is bo...

Re: general moded vehicle handeling
I always edit the handling when I'm adding a car to the game, usually to make the car's handling similar to one of the original C2 car's handling. So a lot of the sportcars have the same "sliding" handling as the Eagle 3, offroad buggies have the same as Bugga, etc.

This is a great idea mate.I agree with n3wton that car pictures are quite important. My database is only around 600-700 cars, however it is very well organised, I've also downloaded the car's thumbnail pictures and renamed them to the zip file's name. This way when I open my folder I instantly see w...

Yeah the Lincoln is an obvious choice for the LeadPumper, I can also imagine it as a Chrsyler, even as a Newport, not just the New Yorker. I also remember thinking that the Dodge Diplomat of the 80's would make a really good FBI/Agent Orange car.

I have a little problem downloading razor's remakes for c2 (flowerplower, mach13, Street Machine 2011,Piranha and Countslash 2009). Sadly the cars got deleted at WASTED, when you click on the download links you'll get a "page not found" error. Even his own site, Stomping on Kittens links y...

That is some very high quality work! It's funny that I realised after seeing the pictures that there are not many army jeeps for Carma2, there are plenty of Hummers and 4x4 but no jeeps. I remember econobrick making a similar jeep but that was eons ago and would look very old next to yours now :)

Hi guys! I have a weird problem or bug with carstocalypse.
